1. Campfire Cherry Pies on a Smaller Scale

What you’ll require:

  • 1 pre-made pie crust outer layer (2 pie coverings for each bundle)
  • 1 tbsp cherry pie filling from a can
  • a quarter cup of white sugar
  • Oil made from vegetables

Assemble the remainder of the covering, flip it over again, and cut out as many circles as desired. Place a hover on a pan, top with a tablespoon of cherry pie filling, and finish with a second outside circle. To seal the smaller-than-expected pastry, use the tines of a fork to press the edges together.

Re-do for the remaining fixings. 2 tbsp. vegetable oil warmed in a cast iron dish over hot pit fire coals.  Cook 1-3 pies at a time (depending on the size of the container) until each side is seared when ready.

2. Pie of Apples and Raisins

What you’ll require:

  • 2 white or rye bread slices
  • 3 tbsp fruit-filled crusty treat topping
  • 1 tablespoon dried cranberries
  • 1 tablespoon mellowed spread

Spread the margarine equally on one side of each slice of bread. Place a cut into an oiled toaster, margarine side down. Spread the crusty fruit-filled treat filling on top, then top with the other sliced, flatter side of the loaf.

Cover the toaster and cook for 4-5 minutes over a hot open fire, rotating periodically, or until the pie is a dazzling dark brown.

3. Yum Crispy Crunchy
